How AI Works Through CorrLinks and TRULINCS
InM8AI is an approved CorrLinks contact that answers with AI. Inmates email it from TRULINCS the same way they email family, and replies come back to their TRULINCS inbox.
What are TRULINCS and CorrLinks?
TRULINCS is the Bureau of Prisons computer system that federal inmates use for email. CorrLinks is the outside website that connects TRULINCS to people on the outside. Every outside contact, including InM8AI, sends and receives messages through CorrLinks.
How does an inmate add InM8AI?
- On TRULINCS, add enroll@inm8ai.com as a new contact.
- InM8AI accepts the contact request on CorrLinks. Contacts must accept before any messages can go through.
- Email enroll@inm8ai.com with your full name, register number, and facility.
- Once a subscription is active, InM8AI sends you your own personal InM8AI address. Add that one as a contact too, and send your questions there.
What are the limits?
- Text only: TRULINCS doesn't allow attachments, photos, or files, so InM8AI answers in plain text.
- 13,000 characters per message: about two pages. InM8AI keeps answers within that limit and splits longer ones.
- Approved contacts only: the inmate must have TRULINCS access, and InM8AI must be on their contact list.
- Facility time limits: many facilities limit each TRULINCS session to 30 or 60 minutes.
What does it cost?
TRULINCS charges inmates 5 cents per minute while reading or writing messages, paid from their trust fund account. InM8AI's subscription is separate: $5 per month during our launch offer, locked in for a year. Family can pay it on the inmate's behalf.
How fast are replies?
Most answers arrive within the hour. Replies can take longer if CorrLinks is slow or the facility's system is down.
Are messages monitored?
Yes. By using TRULINCS, both inmates and their contacts agree that the Bureau of Prisons can monitor and keep all messages. That includes InM8AI messages. Messages that break the rules may be shared with the BOP. Safety & Compliance page
